Head Varsity Boys Coach
Ben Kettlewell
Ben became the Warriors head coach in August 2007. He guided the team to a 17-6-2 overall record during his first season,
which included a YAIAA Division II Crown. The team qualified for District III playoffs and PIAA State playoffs, where the
team made it to the PIAA State Semi-Final game. In his second season, 24-3-1, he guided the warriors to a YAIAA Championship
and the their first PIAA State Title and the first boys team state championship in school history. His current record with
the Warriors is 41-9-3.
A 1998 graduate of Danville Area High School, Coach Kettlewell was a member of several league championship teams, and
served as a captain for the 1997 squad. He then went on to play for Fred Dohrmann at Widener University from 1998-2001, where
he was a four year starter, and served as captain for the 2001 squad. He was a part of the 1999 team that has the record for
most wins in school history.
Coach Kettlewell holds an NSCAA Advanced Regional Coaching Diploma. He is a coach for the FC York Soccer Club, as well
as a member of the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. In 2008, he received the PSCA and YAIAA Coach of the Year Awards.
Coach Kettlewell is a math teacher in the West York Area School District.

Head Junior Varisty Coach
Nick Schiffgens
Nick joined the staff in 2007. Nick is the junior varsity head coach for the boys. He has done an excellent job supporting
and teaching the strategies used by the varsity team.
Recently, he has been signed on to become the junior varsity girls coach starting in the spring of 2009. Nick is a Spanish
Teacher at both the middle school and the high school in the Southern York County School District.

Willie Whitty
Willie joined the staff in 2007 where he is an assistant to the varsity team. Willie does an excellent job with his instruction
with each player and supports the philosophies of the program.
Willie has a wonderful playing career at Millersville University where he was a team captain in 2000 and 2001 seasons.
In 2001, he was also named team offensive player of the year, PSAC ALL CONFERENCE Award Winner and Regional ALL-AMERICAN.
Willie is currently the head coach for the U-13 Boys FC York Gunners. He also works as a branch manager for Citizens
Bank.
